Ashley Lukens

HOST

Ashley Lukens, PhD is an independent philanthropic and development advisor in Hawaiʻi and Oregon. She has worked in and with the impact sector in Hawaiʻi since 2006 as the founder of the Hawaiʻi Food Policy Council, owner of Baby Awearness, director of the RISE Program at Kupu, director of Hawaiʻi Center for Food Safety, and currently as the executive director of the Frost Family Foundation, co-founder of Kūkulu, and co-founder of Ho’iwai Fund. Her work with the Hawaiʻi Center for Food Safety earned national recognition, resulting in a cascade of new pesticide regulations. She has a degree in women studies and economics from Vassar College and a PhD in political science from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa where she examined culturally appropriate strategies for food system transformation.

Currently Ashley’s passion project is a women’s learning circle, Project Thesis. Ashley is a proud cancer thriver and her commitment to holistic health and well-being knits her personal and professional life together.

Julia Ranney

PRODUCER

Julia Ranney is the Creative Communications and Policy Associate for the Center for Food Safety. In this position she produces CFS’s podcast, supports communications strategy across platforms, and serves on the policy team in Washington, D.C. She is passionate about the power of storytelling to effect change, using creative communications as a medium for education, and fostering more inspiration for the next generation.

Amanda Lillibridge

PRODUCER

Amanda Lillibridge is an independent visual storyteller, content marketing and brand strategist with a background in the non-profit, wellness, and travel sectors. She co-runs Hawai'i-based medicinal mushroom company, Mālama Mushrooms and manages digital communications for Clarity Project Hawai’i and Center for Food Safety.

Anna Camacho

ASSISTANT PRODUCER

Anna is an independent coach and consultant in Hawaiʻi, providing administrative and creative support across a diverse portfolio of projects, including the Center for Food Safety communications strategy. She is the MissChief Executive Officer at Blossom Wellness Co. and co-founder of the Good Food Movement. Her passion for co-creating conditions for a new beautiful paradigm to emerge serves as the compass for all she does.

Doorae Shin

ASSISTANT PRODUCER

Doorae is a consultant in Hawaiʻi focused on progressive issues including sustainability, justice, and equity. She supports communications and campaigns for the Center for Food Safety.

She is the Founder & Director of Hawaiʻi Impact Collaborative and currently works on projects including the Hawaiʻi Green Fee, Clarity Project, and Funder Hui. She is also the Co-Founder of the Good Food Movement.
